Spoiler: I was the one to blame.
I struggled for 10 days with a "dumb" Claude Code. I kept 7 active tabs, each responsible for a large task. Context accumulated, autocompact didn't help — with each new request, the AI got confused in the history and lost the thread.
The solution turned out to be simple.
I asked Claude to compactly formulate the task and current status into an md file. Closed all windows and cmd. Restarted — fed it this file.
All the stupidity vanished as if by hand.
Now the rule: if the task is long and complex — at important forks, I start each stage in a clean window.
