I've been registering everything with GoDaddy for years. I got used to auctions, despite the inconvenient interface, slow support, and high prices. The number of domains is growing again, and I even considered buying their pro membership for $120 for renewal discounts.
I asked Claude Code about alternatives. He didn't just answer, but gave practical advice: transfer domains to Cloudflare Registrar. Transferring 20 domains would save about $250 a year without any memberships.
I logged into my Cloudflare — and indeed: the same domain costs $10. I'll transfer everything to them.
