Today is April 4th. Anthropic sent a letter: Claude subscription no longer covers third-party harnesses, including OpenClaw. If you want to use it — pay separately for the API.
A month ago I moved everything to Claude Code. Simply because the native tool worked more stably. I removed OpenClaw from the stack altogether.
And today — the letter. Those who remained on OpenClaw now pay extra. Those who didn't — nothing changed.
In general, I've previously come across stories that people's claude accounts were even banned if they put their subscription into openclaw. I think now they decided to move everyone to api in a soft form — without bans.
