How to lose 230 bucks with Claude Code
The other day <a href="https://t.me/moi_it_zametki/166">I received a letter from Anthropic</a> saying that you can't use OpenClaw with a subscription, only through the API, and as a gesture of goodwill, here's some money to your Extra Usage account, in the amount of your subscription (200USD)..
I took them and together with what I already had in my account there, it came out to 230 bucks.. The month of subscription was coming to an end and I wanted to take a break and reduce the hours of vibe-coding.. I thought I'd switch to the 100-dollar plan for a week, and then top up for MAX again
I canceled the full subscription, bought the 100-dollar one - I log in, and my ExtraUsage account is completely zero.
I went to the support website - there's a bot there, says I'll call humans now - the chat hung for a day - no one answered. I wrote them an email - three days have passed - no answer, no hello.
The moral of this fable is this - be careful with downgrades of such services.
