I have a consulting service where I tell everything I know and show how to do it. I charge hourly. Sometimes it's a one-time consultation — no problem. But sometimes consulting lasts for months, in correspondence, where I spend 2 minutes, then an hour and a half. Billing for each message is nonsense, so they get lost and it's hard to collect them together.
🧐 How I handled it:
I took my Telegram bot via Pyrogram (when the bot looks like a real person in Telegram), added it to the group where I was consulting a company. The bot didn't just download the chat — it understood it: separated consultations from chatter, pulled project history from Obsidian, and compiled it into an invoice with dates, hours, and rate. The client can check line by line.
Result — a beautiful invoice with hourly breakdown for all work and dates, and the exact total at the end!
